When the plant performance of Rainforest and Semideciduous Forest provenances was compared in their respective sites of origin, we found stronger evidence for local adaptation for seedling establishment, as the influence of seed provenance differed among sites (Table 4 ). Overall, the local provenances showed the highest plant performance (Figure Leather Statement Clutch Pop Life by VIDA VIDA 6wbimV
). In the Rainforest site, the local provenance showed higher seedling survival, density, and aboveground dry mass, while in the Semideciduous Forest site, the local provenance showed higher seedling emergence and density (Figure 3 ). Sapling survival was influenced by seed provenance, site of transplant, and both factors and their interaction, but more markedly by seed provenance, and was highest for the Rainforest provenance in its site of origin (Table 4 , Figure 3 ). Sapling root–shoot dry mass ratio was influenced by seed provenance and site of transplant (Table 4 ), but did not differ between seed provenances in both sites of transplant (Figure 3 ). Sapling total dry mass was the only trait showing a strong effect of site of transplant (i.e., higher importance of phenotypic plasticity), with negligible effects of seed provenance (Figure 3 ). Overall, seedling emergence was favored in the Rainforest, but seedling mortality was also highest in this transplant site (Figure 3 ).

When the Rainforest and Restinga forest populations were compared, none of the selected models included the interaction between seed provenance and site of transplant, and for only one trait (seedling mortality), site of transplant was selected for the model. Seed provenance and its combination with site of transplant were selected by most models (Table 4 ). Seedling mass was higher for the Rainforest provenance compared to the Restinga forest in its site of origin, together with seedling emergence and density (Figure 4 ).

Boxy 2 Mailplane 4 Wavebox Internet and Communications Google Chrome and Firefox Quantum (free)

The browser you use is likely going to be dictated by the browser you’ve been using. In other words, if you’re a Google Chrome loyalist, it’ll probably take a lot to get you to switch over to Firefox Quantum (if you’re at all intrigued). And if you’ve been with Firefox from day one, you’re probably a lot less likely to want to move all of your bookmarks, extensions, and other settings over to Chrome.

Firefox Quantum

So, which browser is best? It’s not so much that one excels over the other; it’s more important to say that both, finally, are pretty competitive. Depending on the benchmarks you look at—here are Women 4080003656 TopHandle Bag Gerry Weber fSd8Di9FL
, for example—the browsers appear evenly matched for speed. I haven’t gone through and assessed the most-recent version of each, but I have used both Firefox Quantum and Google Chrome, and they both feel, well, fast . That said, Chrome still feels a bit like a hog when you’re trying to load a ton of tabs at once, but it’s pretty good about using less of your CPU and memory than other browsers.

If you don’t like either, Womens Selleria Leather ZipAround Wallet Fendi uQnA3kKem

Years ago, it felt like everyone used one chat client to cover a bunch of services (ICQ, AIM, IRC, Jabber, et cetera). Nowadays, most people nowadays probably have their favorites locked in: Messages for texting, Facebook Messenger for everything else, WhatsApp for sending government secrets or expiring pictures of your booty, Discord for any and all things gaming, Slack for all things not-gaming, et cetera. So, rather than go into detail with all the more obvious apps, we’ll highlight two unique ones.

Messages Facebook Messenger WhatsApp Discord

Facebook Messenger, as you know, requires you to be on Facebook to use it. If I’m correct, you used to be able to essentially connect Facebook’s service to Messages itself, so you could send and receive your Facebook chats without having to have your browser open all the time. And if I’m right (again), you can no longer do that. Instead, you’ll want an app like Goofy , which basically drops the Facebook Messenger interface into a simple application that you can access from your desktop.

On Friday, the Jumanji star unveiled the Mens WoolBlend Beanie Barneys New York KisZ5Ifb
, which marked his baby boy’s first family portrait. And to celebrate the happy occasion, the Harts turned their festive photo into a blockbuster movie poster.

In the photo, Hart and his wife are dressed to the nines as they stand front-and-center, holding their newborn son alongside Hart’s son Hendrix and daughter Heaven.

“Happy Holidays from the ‘Hart’s’…..it’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas…. #LiveLoveLaugh #Harts #DopePic,” the star captioned his card.

Last year’s Christmas card featured Hart and his wife wearing matching heart-stitched black sweaters with Heaven and Hendrix.

The couple hasn’t had the easiest year. In a headline-making Instagram post in October, Hart told fans about an alleged extortion attempt that included a “sexually provocative” video of him with another woman. The comedian apologized to his then-8-months pregnant wife as he revealed that someone was using the tapes and images to allegedly extort money from him.

On Monday, the star addressed his difficult year at the Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle premiere when Extra host Mario Lopez’s daughter Gia asked him what he wanted from Santa this year.

“Have I been naughty or nice? That’s definitely a tough question for Kevin Hart right now, it was a tough year for me,” he joked on the red carpet.

As the Michigan Legislaturewraps up for the year we wanted to take a look back at 2015 with Ken Sikkema, former Senate Majority Leader and Senior Policy Fellow at Public Sector Consultants, and Susan Demas, publisher of Inside Michigan Politics.

Sikkema and Demas agree that the list of legislative successes is short this year. Sikkema says:

As the Michigan House and Senate wrap up for the year, there’s a piece of legislation that could change what voters experience in the booth. The Republican majority is working to pass a plan that would eliminate the straight-ticket voting option on the ballot.

I spoke with Susan Demas, publisher of , and Ken Sikkema, former Senate Majority Leader and Senior Policy Fellow at Public Sector Consultants.

Both Demasand Sikkemapoint out that this is not the first time Republicans have tried to pass a ban on straight ticket voting.

With the roads funding plan behind them, the Michigan Legislature is on break until December. When they return, fixing Detroit Public Schools will be at the top of the legislative agenda.

Gov. Rick Snyder has proposed a controversial plan for DPS that would start a new district responsible for educational instruction and general operations while leaving the roughly $500 million in legacy debt with the old district.

The legislature this week passed a package of bills to fund Michigan roads. The legislation would bump up the state’s gas tax by seven cents per gallon, and boost vehicle registration fees by 20% beginning in 2017. It will increase taxes by $600 million also starting in 2017. The plan will also move $600 million from other areas in the state budget.

The Michigan Legislature has approved $9 million to deal with the fallout from the Flint water crisis. That price tag has turned attention to how the state’s rainy-day fund is used.

Gov. Rick Snyder has made replenishing that fund a budget priority since he entered office.

Jennifer White spoke to Susan Demas, publisher of Inside Michigan Politics, and Ken Sikkema, former Senate Majority Leader and Senior Policy Fellow at Public Sector Consultants about the state of the rainy-day fund.

Demas says as of the last budget cycle there's about $386 million in the fund.

Govenor Snyder last week announced the city of Flint will be switching back to Detroit water.

This comes after months of complaints by Flint residents; tests showing the water was unsafe; and most recently, reports of elevated lead levels in some Flint children. Jennifer White sat down with three women raising kids in Flint to hear their experiences.
